Happy Birthday America, Clerks Taking Flight!

June 15-19, 2026 | Kalamazoo, MI

Summer Conference is filled with a wide variety of educational opportunities for villages, townships, and cities. The conference will feature MiExcellence Awards, breakout educational speakers, the Vendor Showcase, and a phenomenal silent auction. Thursday consists of a full day of educational breakout sessions, networking with vendor booths, and the President's Dinner featuring the coveted Clerk of The Year award and President’s Recognition Ceremony. The night ends with entertainment and a cash bar. Friday closes a week of educational and social opportunities with the Annual MAMC Membership meeting, a legislative update and discussion with the BOE. We hope you will join us for a week of amazing educational sessions and the opportunity to connect with clerks from around the state.

5K Wednesday,7:30A-8:30A. This relaxed 5k Walk/Run is a great way to start your morning! Join your fellow colleagues for a scenic run/walk. Winners will be announced during the Opening Session! Registration includes a t-shirt and bottled water. Please select the sizing option that is best for you.

PRE-CONFERENCE SESSIONS

Clerking 101 2-Day Bootcamp - June 15 & 16

This course is a great opportunity for new clerks and seasoned clerks looking for a review on many basic clerk functions. The two-day class covers a wide variety of topics, such as Open Meetings Act, Freedom of Information Act, record retention and management, parliamentary procedure, agendas and resolutions, government accounting and more. Registration includes breakfast and lunch each day, as well as required class materials.

Masters Class - June 16

This course is a great opportunity for intermediate and advanced level clerks looking for advanced educational opportunities. Curriculum changes each year to provide a wide variety of topics. Registration includes breakfast and lunch, as well as required class materials.

Educational sessions at this conference are designed to provide attendees with valuable insights, innovative strategies, and practical tools to enhance their professional skills and industry knowledge. These sessions foster learning, collaboration, and problem-solving, empowering participants to implement best practices in their respective fields. The education committee has worked hard to bring a variety of relevant sessions including, but not limited to the following topics:

ATTENDEE REGISTRATION

Registration includes lunch and reception on Wednesday; breakfast, lunch and the President's Dinner on Thursday; and breakfast on Friday.

Registration, Cancellations and Refund Policy

No in person or online registrations will be accepted after the close of registration. You must individually select which events you would like to attend. Clerking 101, Masters Class, Welcome Reception, Full Conference, and the 5k Walk/Run require you to select those options individually on the registration form.

Cancellation requests must be e-mailed to info@michiganclerks.com. The cancellation deadline is May 15, 2026. Cancellation requests received before 5:00pm on May 15, 2026 will incur a $100.00 fee. Cancellation requests received after May 15, 2026 or no shows will be charged the full registration fee and are not entitled to any refund.

Member substitutions within the same organization are permitted at no additional cost. All substitutions must be made in writing and be accompanied by a completed MAMC Conference Registration form prior to May 15, 2026.

Vendor & Sponsor Registration

VENDORS

There are 30 exhibit spaces, which are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Opportunities to interact with the membership are provided during meals, breaks, the welcome reception, 5k walk/run, vendor reception and Thursday's vendor giveaways during lunch. The Thursday lunch vendor giveaways are optional, but are a great way for vendors to get attendee information. Bingo cards are also provided to attendees for vendors to sign, allowing attendees to win prizes.

We are excited to continue “Battle of the Booths”! The top three booths that match our theme will be recognized during the Thursday luncheon and given a prize! So decorate your vendor booth to match our theme to join the fun.

HOTEL INFORMATION

Hotel reservations at The Kalamazoo Radisson, in Kalamazoo, MI, must be received on or before May 22, 2026. Room rates are $185 or $235 per night based on room type. Parking is $12 per day.
