Seeking Applications

The Board of Directors is seeking nominations for MAMC Third Vice President (City/Village).

Qualified candidates for the office of Third Vice President must have been an active member of MAMC for three years, currently serve in a City or Village position, and served at least two years as a Director in any appointed position established by the President.

In addition, the following Director positions are expiring at the June 2025 conference and are eligible for applications (2 City/Village and 2 Township positions):

• Leanne Scott – Director/Treasurer (City/Village)
• Tina Porzondek – Director (Township)
• Holly Thompson – Director (City/Village)
• Jody Hansen – Director (Township)

Applications for Third Vice President and for renewing or new applications for the Board of Directors positions are due April 1, 2025.

Per Standing Rule 29, the slate of qualified officers shall be determined no later than the annual Election Meeting, held in conjunction with the annual conference, and listed in the conference brochure. Nominations for Directors meeting eligibility requirements will be accepted from the floor. The Nominating Committee of Past Presidents shall make every effort to recommend candidates for office that are representative of geographical areas not already covered by the Board and they are to consider the following criteria:

• Years of experience as a municipal clerk.
• Demonstrated greater-than-average performance in the position.
• Active in county, state and national associations.
• Demonstrated interest in improving their professional and personal skills, and in the advancement of the profession.
• A record of contributing to the improvement of their community and the respect of community leaders.
• Nominee must be a member of the MAMC.
