Jody Hansen was elected Allendale Township Clerk in 2020. Prior to serving Allendale residents as clerk, she had the privilege of serving the citizens of Ottawa County as a manager in the Ottawa County Clerk/Register of Deed’s Office. During her time at Ottawa County, she was a founding member of the Ottawa County Customer Service Team and implemented the Ottawa County Honor Rewards Program- a program designed to give thanks to our veterans.

Since being elected in 2020, she has served as President of the Ottawa County Clerk’s Association and serves on the Michigan Association of Municipal Clerk’s Legislative Committee.  Jody is an executive member of the West Michigan Regional Clerk’s Association and has earned her Michigan Professional Municipal Clerk Certification (MiPMC).  In 2024, Jody was nominated by her peers to receive the MAMC Township Clerk of the Year award.

She is the proud mother of three children, and a new grandmother of two. Jody and her husband of 30 years own a small concrete construction business. In her spare time, Jody enjoys reading, spending time with family and painting with multimedia- some of which she has entered in ArtPrize.
