2026 Clerk of the Year
The Clerk of the Year program is designed to honor municipal clerks who demonstrate the professional and personal qualities representing the best of our profession. consider submitting a nomination for a praiseworthy Clerk for the 2026 City, Township, Deputy and Village Clerk of the Year Awards. The Nomination deadline was February 6, 2026. A maximum of five nominees in each category are chosen for placement on the ballot by committees of previous winners based on the following criteria:
- Years of experience as a municipal clerk;
- Demonstration of above average performance in the position;
- Active in county / state / national associations;
- Interest in improving skills, and advancing the profession;
- Contributions to community and respect of community leaders.
All nominees must be current members of the Michigan Association of Municipal Clerks for 2025. The Clerk of the Year program is designed to honor municipal clerks who demonstrate professional and personal qualities representing the best of our profession.
Watch your email for the Clerk of the Year ballot, via SurveyMonkey. Make sure your municipality servers do not block Survey Monkey mail. The winners will be awarded at the MAMC Conference on June 18, 2026, in Kalamazoo.
